Me Goldwater is defending a Montreal North pit bull because she believes it deserves a second chance in a specialized shelter in upstate New York. In her argument before the court, she insisted that even dogs deemed dangerous should have a chance to live peacefully. "We are never going to advance our rights with the nice neighbourhood dog that did nothing wrong. We are testing the law in a difficult situation to see whether it has been respected."
