Practice Areas
Daria Lupu is an Associate at Goldwater Droit. Her practice is devoted to family law matters, covering matters such as divorce and separation, parenting time, spousal and child support, and partition of family assets.
During her studies at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), she worked with the Innocence Project on cases of wrongful conviction, contributing to case reviews, evidence analysis, and a brief filed at the Court of Appeal. There she learned there to scrutinize a record, test assumptions, and build arguments from the ground up.
Daria’s work spans child and spousal support, parenting arrangements and relocation questions, the partition of property under matrimonial regimes and family patrimony rules, and the drafting of marriage contracts (i.e., pre- and post-nuptial agreements).
Daria earned her LL.B. from UQAM in 2023 and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2025. She is a member of the Quebec Family Law Lawyers Association (AAADFQ) and works in French, English, and Romanian.
Daria prioritizes amicable resolution where that door remains open, and does not hesitate to defend her clients vigorously before the Superior Court when it closes. Above all, she is guided by a steady sense of what is right.
Had she not become a lawyer, she would have chosen dermatology, a field that, like family law, involves clinical assessment, remembering self-care, and poring over the details.
